CSR at ReStore Life isn't a department — it's a distribution channel for the surplus energy and expertise our operations create. Every restored battery, every trained technician, every avoided tonne of CO₂ becomes an opportunity to invest back into the regions we serve.
This matters practically. A battery that falls below commercial performance thresholds still holds useful capacity for a village clinic. Technician capacity between contracts becomes training hours. The programme is funded by what the core business produces rather than by a separate budget line, which is why it survives lean quarters.

Second-life batteries, first-time electricity.
We deploy second-life battery banks paired with rooftop solar to power schools, clinics and micro-enterprises in off-grid villages — proving the circular thesis where it matters most.
A battery retired from a telecom tower or an enterprise UPS often retains well over half its original capacity. That is insufficient for a site with an uptime guarantee, but more than enough for a school's lighting and a clinic's vaccine refrigerator. Sixty-two villages have been electrified on this principle.

Annual scholarships, mentorship and internships for students from underrepresented backgrounds, with a clear pipeline into our engineering, R&D and field-service teams.
Over 480 scholarships have been granted. The pipeline is the point: a scholarship that ends at graduation helps one person, while one that ends in a certified technician role at a ReStore service centre changes a household's income permanently. Recipients can enter through the same apprentice-to-engineer pathway used across our operations.
Power kits, pre-positioned.
Pre-positioned restored-cell power kits ready for rapid deployment after cyclones, floods and earthquakes — keeping clinics, communications and shelters online for days.
Pre-positioning is what makes this useful. Stock held in-region before a cyclone season reaches a shelter in hours; stock ordered after landfall arrives after it matters. Nine deployments have been made to date across our operating regions.
