The spare stock is the part that matters.
By reducing downtime and operational disruption, a comprehensive AMC delivers real cost savings and meaningfully higher reliability for critical power systems.
Most maintenance contracts promise a fast response. The constraint is rarely the engineer's travel time — it is whether the right cell is in the country. Holding 48 spare cells against the agreement is what turns a response commitment into a same-visit fix, rather than a site visit followed by a procurement cycle.
The second difference is what happens to a failing cell. A conventional contract replaces it. Ours attempts revival first, because a cell that can be recovered costs less than one that is replaced — and the spare stock stays intact for the failure that genuinely needs it.

AMC — frequently asked questions.
What is a battery AMC?
An Annual Maintenance Contract for batteries is a service agreement covering scheduled upkeep of a battery estate you own. ReStore Life's Comprehensive AMC bundles quarterly preventive maintenance, managed spare cell stock, revival or replacement of faulty cells, real-time health monitoring and extended warranty under a single agreement.
What does quarterly preventive maintenance include?
Voltage measurement, cleaning and testing; physical inspection, discharge tests and terminal torque adjustments; and written reporting with monthly review meetings. The purpose is to catch degradation on a schedule rather than discover it during an outage.
Does the AMC include spare batteries?
Yes. ReStore Life stocks and manages 48 spare cells under the agreement, with inventory management, regular condition checks on the stock itself, and mutual adjustment of quantity as the estate changes. Spare stock is what makes same-visit replacement possible.
What happens when a cell fails under AMC?
Faulty cells are revived or replaced from the spare stock held under the agreement. Records are maintained for every new cell, including serial numbers and warranty status, so the estate's history stays auditable.
Is battery monitoring included in the AMC?
Yes. Battery performance is tracked continuously through a smart battery management system, which allows maintenance to be triggered by live telemetry rather than only by the quarterly schedule.
What is the difference between AMC and Battery-as-a-Service?
An AMC services batteries you own and keeps them on your balance sheet. Battery-as-a-Service means ReStore Life owns the batteries and you pay a subscription for uptime. AMC suits organisations with an existing estate and sunk capital; BaaS suits those who would rather not own the assets.
