- What we look for

Requirements to become a franchisee.

  • Initial investment band of USD 35,000 to 80,000, depending on market
  • Owner-operator commitment for the first 18 months
  • Clean compliance record and the ability to register a local entity

The local entity requirement is not bureaucracy for its own sake. Battery refurbishment is a regulated activity in most of our markets — in India under the Battery Waste Management Rules 2022 — and a properly registered outlet can bid for enterprise and government contracts that an informal workshop cannot.

- Priority markets 2026

Now recruiting across Africa.

Unreliable grid supply makes stored energy essential rather than optional across much of the continent, and a restored battery costs a fraction of a new one. Our Nairobi academy anchors partner training for the region.

Nigeria

Heavy reliance on inverters and backup storage in homes and small businesses makes battery service demand consistent year-round.

Ghana

Growing solar adoption and a strong SME retail culture suit the ReStore+ store format well.

Kenya

Our Nairobi training academy is here, giving Kenyan partners the shortest path from enquiry to a trained, certified team.

Ethiopia

Rapid electrification alongside grid instability creates sustained demand for reliable, affordable stored energy.

- FAQs

Franchise — frequently asked questions.

How much does a ReStore franchise cost?

The initial investment band is USD 35,000 to USD 80,000 depending on the market, covering store fit-out, opening inventory, equipment and training. The exact figure varies with local property costs, import duties and store size. ReStore Life's partnerships team provides a market-specific breakdown after an initial enquiry.

What do I get for the franchise fee?

Store design, branding, fit-out drawings and POS systems; certified technician training at the Gurugram, Dubai or Nairobi academy before opening day; central inventory of restored batteries, solar equipment, inverters and Elixir additive replenished from regional hubs; and national brand campaigns with local lead funnels and CRM playbooks.

Which countries is ReStore Life recruiting franchisees in?

Partner onboarding is currently active across India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and East Africa. Through 2026 the priority markets are Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Ethiopia, supported by the technician training academy in Nairobi.

What are the requirements to become a ReStore franchisee?

Three requirements: an initial investment of USD 35,000 to 80,000 depending on market, owner-operator commitment for the first 18 months, and a clean compliance record with the ability to register a local legal entity. Prior battery industry experience is helpful but not required, as technical training is provided.

Do I need technical battery experience?

No. Technicians are trained and certified at a ReStore Life academy in Gurugram, Dubai or Nairobi before the store opens. What matters more is owner-operator commitment, local market knowledge and the ability to run a retail operation.

How long does the application process take?

The partnerships team responds to enquiries within three business days. Onboarding cohorts run quarterly, so the time from enquiry to opening depends on which cohort you join and how quickly local entity registration and premises are secured.
